Kim Dingle at CGU on February 2, 2011

Kim Dingle will be speaking at Claremont Graduate University in the Albrecht Auditorium on Wednesday, February 2 at 4:30pm. For the past ten years she has taken a semi-break from the art scene to open and run Fatty’s Cafe, a popular vegetarian restaurant in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles. Prior to that, her work, usually labeled feminist art, had been placed in the permanent collections of several museums including the Smithsonian and MOCA, and she had participated in the 2000 Whitney Biennial. Dingle grew up in nearby Pomona and earned her degree from CGU. I look forward to hearing her stories. See you there. All of the CGU Art lectures are open to the public.
