Visiting Artist Zoe Crosher at Scripps College on February 21, 2011

Surprise! There’s an artists lecture series at Scripps that starts on Monday. This Monday the very very Los Angeles artist Zoe Crosher will be talking about her work and showing slides.

Scripps says: “Zoe Crosher is an artist living in Los Angeles. Her work has been exhibited internationally in Vancouver, Rotterdam, Los Angeles and New York City. In addition to her exhibition practice, she has a monograph, Out the Window (LAX), examining space and transience around the Los Angeles airport, and an upcoming monograph on her newest project The Reconsidered Archive of Michelle duBois, to be published by Aperture Ideas in Spring 2011. Crosher recently served as visiting faculty at the University of California, Los Angeles and Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA as well as associate editor at the journal Afterall.  She produced the September 2010 billboard for LAXART and is currently in the 2010 California Biennial and The City Proper, curated by James Welling at Margo Leavin Gallery in Los Angeles.”

This is the flier from when she showed at the Claremont Museum of Art in 2008 (click to enlarge):

She speaks at 1:15 in Steele Hall 103. You can find the building on this map. The image at the top of this page is from Crosher’s LA><ART billboard.
