Claremont Graduate University MFA Open Studios on May 1, 2011
I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, CGU Art has a history of graduating talented MFA students who go on to make important contributions to contemporary art. This weekend is a chance to dig a little deeper into the work of the class of 2011.
“This premiere, annual event is the only time during the year when the artists’ private work studios are completely open to the public for viewing. The MFA student artists will be on-hand to answer questions and interact with the public. Feel free to bring the family and stay for an afternoon of inquisitive fun. Refreshments will be served.”
As if you needed any added incentive, one of the graduating students, Perry Marks, is giving away a free signed limited edition thermographic print to the first 25 visitors to studio 117.
They’ll also be having their Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 graduating class group exhibition beginning this Monday, at the same location. It runs through May 13 and the hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 to 5:00.
These will be the last CGU Art events until summer’s over. See you there.
